Golfing, with a bit of skill
We had an opportunity to head out to Sundre and enjoy a day of golf at the Coyote Creek Golf Club for the Mountain View Credit Union’s 8th annual Gold Classic – a charity event supporting the Town of Sundre’s Aquaplex. Little known fact – Sundre’s municipality does not own the pool – the town fundraises for it every year and operates it as a society. Now that’s an industrious community.
A year has past since we started dreaming about what Symbra could be and I couldn't have better partners. The team that plays together stays together! Enjoyed at great time at the MVCU Golf Classic yesterday. @symbraco @MountainViewCU #golfgoofs #sunburn #teambuilding pic.twitter.com/chrfG5aocA

Starting the day right – Chad and Brian ignored the memo and forgot to wear the team jersey in Symbra colours – Black and … teal.
Then, while we were preoccupied at the bbq smoky tent, a golf game broke out. Undaunted, we attempted to make up strokes in the Texas Scramble tournament. Doing well after the front 9, we saw the smoky tent again. A little more daunted, we gave up trying to make up strokes and focused instead on finishing before they closed the smoky tent.
It was a really fun day, and it’s always nice to see community come together to raise funds for worthy causes. The day finished sunny and hot and the event raised $20,000 for the Sundre Aquaplex Society. Loads of laughter, and then a steak dinner was had by all.
We were really happy to win a prize – most “honest” team. While inspecting the new crib boards we got, we tried to figure out how we were honest and how that related to golf, but were were happy anyway. And then, Brian won the 50/50 draw! Even better, he won the 50/50 draw after telling another golfer Symbra was a group of “professional 50/50 draw winners”. All very good stuff. A great day. See you next year MVCU!
